Eco-Box™ is an innovative transport system integrated directly into cardboard box packaging, designed to eliminate the need for single-use plastic bags. By transforming the box itself into a carry solution, Eco-Box™ offers a practical, cost-effective, and environmentally responsible alternative for retailers and consumers alike.

The concept can be visualized as a standard shoebox with a discreetly integrated rope mechanism. When pulled from its compartment, the rope wraps securely around the box and forms a durable handle on top—allowing the box to be carried comfortably without additional packaging. The idea is intentionally simple, yet precise enough to create meaningful impact at scale
Addressing the Plastic Bag Crisis
Plastic bags remain one of the most widely used—and least reused—consumer products. They are commonly used to transport groceries, clothing, toys, shoes, and other retail purchases, only to be discarded shortly thereafter. This widespread disposal contributes significantly to environmental pollution, including ocean contamination.
While recycling initiatives are expanding, plastic recycling itself presents major economic and environmental challenges. For example, studies in California have shown that recycling a single plastic bag costs approximately USD 0.17.
Cost-Effective and Retail-Friendly
Eco-Box™ was developed with commercial feasibility in mind. Based on material and production cost estimates, the cost of producing the Eco-Box™ transport system is approximately USD 0.05 per unit—making it cost-competitive or cheaper than plastic bags.

Both solutions remove the dependency on plastic bags while remaining adaptable to existing packaging workflows.
Ideal for the Footwear Industry—and Beyond
The footwear industry represents a key use case. Eco-Box™ eliminates the need for plastic bags by allowing shoes to be carried directly in their original box. The system can also be adapted for appliances, toys, apparel, food products, and household goods.
